Cabinet Paint for Hearthstone Owners (Quart)

Hearthstone, a warm greige satin finish cabinet paint, is part of our Rustic Collection. Please note that this color can lean more gray or more beige depending on your kitchen's lighting or colors. One 32 oz can of NUVO Cabinet Paint can cover approximately 50 sq ft or 20 linear feet of cabinets.

Before painting, thorough preparation is essential. Use 300 grit or higher sandpaper to thoroughly sand all the cabinet surfaces you'll be painting. You don't need to remove the existing finish, just sand until all surfaces are "deglossed." If you have wood cabinets, follow the wood grain with your sanding motions and avoid circular sanding. Be sure to sand extra well around door handles and the stove, as these areas may have accumulated oils and dirt.

For applications on an existing high-gloss finish, it's optimal to first apply a liquid deglosser to the surface and then lightly scuff it up with 300 grit sandpaper. Once you've completed the sanding, wipe away all the sanding dust using a standard window cleaner like Windex®. The alcohol and ammonia in the window cleaner will not leave any residue.
